Eastern Suburbs kids create their own private universe

By April 10th, 2006

School students from across the Eastern Suburbs are invited to Rose Bay to create their own world within a bottle.

The classes are run by CSIRO Science Education during the school holidays.

Students between 11 and 14 will be shown how to plant a small tree within a bottle and build a natural ecosystem to support it.

Junior students (between 7 and 10) will make their own lava lamp or build their own balancing toy.

The day runs from 10:00am until 4:00pm and includes morning tea and lunch.
