Dinosaurs bite into school holiday boredom

By April 10th, 2006

Children across Sydney will come alive these school holidays, with the chance to build their own dinosaur.

CSIRO Education at North Ryde will show the children how to fit dinosaur bones together.

Once the bones are assembled, the children will discover what their dinosaur’s name means, what they ate, how they moved and how tall they were.

CSIRO will also offer other exciting science activities during the day, including a diver challenge for juniors aged 7-10. Children aged between11-14 will also make a spinning steam engine and learn about the mysterious world of chemistry.

The day runs from 10:00am until 4:00pm and includes morning tea and lunch.

The course costs $88 for a full day.

CSIRO Education Centres around Australia run interactive shows and workshops in schools and during school holiday periods.
